Setting Up Your Google Account

1. Go to Google: google.com
2. Click on Sign In in the upper right hand corner
3. Enter your email:

You are in the class of 2018, so your email begins with the number 18. Then it is the first two letters of your first name, followed by your last name. If your name is Fred Jones, here is what your email will look like:

18frjones@students.nekoosasd.net

Your password is as follows (you must get the three digit number from your teacher, as 666 is just an example):
The underline key just to the right of the 0 key. Hold the shift and then press the dash/underline key.

nekoosasd_666

If it doesn't work, check the spelling of your email and your password and keep trying. If it worked, go on to number 4.

4. You will now be brought to a page where it welcomes you to your account. You must scroll to the bottom of the page and type in the goofy looking word. Now click on accept and you should be in your account. To make sure, look at the top where it said "sign in" and now it should have your email.

Changing Your Password

Change your password to your normal password. Click on your email at the top and choose account settings. Click on Changing Your Password.
Type in your current password: nekoosa_666
and then type in your "normal" password where it says New password.

If your "normal" password is less than 8 characters, you must add numbers at the end to make it 8. For example, if your password is:

pass43

that is only 6 characters so you must add two more. Add the same numbers that ends your password to make 8.
pass43 ends with 3 so I would add two more 3's so it is now:

pass4333

Click save and it should tell you that your password was changed.

Create a Document

Test your account by making a document and giving it a name. Look at the menu near the top and click on more and choose documents. Click Create and then choose document. Type your name in the document and then give it a name by clicking on untitled and naming it.

Upload a Document
Try uploading one of your documents that you have already created. Choose the button to the right of Create and click on the upload button. Choose files. Now find a file to upload. Once you have uploaded the document, open it up to see if it worked. You should now have two documents in your "Google Docs". Try accessing these from home if you have a computer with and internet connection.
